Questions & program information

Straight answers to the questions we hear most. If you do not see your question, ask us at the office.

Lifeline is a government assistance program. The benefit is non-transferable, limited to one per household, and requires proof of eligibility.

Am I guaranteed to be approved?

No. Approval is decided by the program and the phone company after they review your application. We help you through the process, but no one can promise approval.

Will I get a phone today?

It depends on the program rules, your application, and what is available. We will tell you what to expect when you visit. We cannot promise a specific phone or service.

Do you charge for your help?

Ask our team at the office about any costs before you apply. We will explain everything up front.

What should I bring?

Bring a photo ID and any documents you have that show you take part in a public assistance program or show your household income. Our team will tell you exactly what applies to you. Please bring documents in person; do not send them online.

Do I need an appointment?

No. Walk-ins are welcome anytime during business hours. Scheduling a visit is optional and just helps us be ready for you.

Can I get help in Spanish?

Yes. Our team can help you in English or Spanish.

Are you a government office?

No. Rera Enterprises is a private business that offers in-person enrollment help. We are not a government agency.

I lost my phone and my email. Can I still book?

Yes. You only need your first name to schedule, and reminders are optional. Or just walk in during business hours.

About the program

Lifeline

Phone service assistance programs have rules that everyone must follow. Here are the important ones:

  • Eligibility is decided by the program and the participating phone company, not by Rera Enterprises. We help you apply, but we cannot approve applications.
  • The benefit is limited to one per household. A household is a group of people who live together and share income and expenses.
  • The benefit is non-transferable. You cannot give or sell it to another person.
  • You must show proof of eligibility, such as documents showing you take part in a qualifying assistance program or that your household income qualifies.
  • You must give accurate information. Giving false information can lead to losing the benefit and may have legal consequences.
  • Rera Enterprises is a private business. We are not a government agency.
